Started pups & Adult dogs

Occasionally I have a young pup that I hold back from adoption with the rest of the litter. This pup is started by myself and introduced to crate training, housebreaking, basic obedience and manners etc. There are times when people who come to us to adopt a puppy, that do not have the time or experience to provide a puppy with the ideal situation.Often we have older couples who would like a young dog without the extreme workload of a puppy.

We must do what we believe is in the best interest of our dogs and place them into new homes sometimes. As tough as this may be for us, it can be the best decision for some families wishing to adopt a golden retriever. For older couples, or physically challenged or even those that just want to share the joys of experience that only an older dog can have, this can be a wonderful union. This is always the hardest part for my family and myself. These decisions don't come easily to me and it must be a perfect match for me to be able to sleep at night.

Please remember to check out the Golden Retriever Club of Alberta Rescue page if you are looking for a golden as well.
